内 容 ：講演者の所属する研究所は斜面災害とその軽減を業務とし、2008年の四川大地震以来、多くの実際問題に取り組んで来ました。また近年は一帯一路の枠組みでアジアの東西を結ぶ道路や鉄道の建設にも関係し、パミール高原横断や成都とチベット・ラサ間の斜面崩壊、土石流の問題解決に従事しています。本講演では、パミールおよび四川省・東チベットの斜面リスクの評価と、それに基づく交通ルート選定を取り扱います。
Abstract ：Himalayan syntaxes are located in one of the world’s most geologically and seismic active areas owing to the interplay of uplift and erosion. As a result, the transportations in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Sichuan-Tibet Traffic Corridor (STTC) are regarded as one of the most dangerous road sections in the world, and the design and construction of the future routes under “Belt & Road Initiative” faces major challenges of mountain hazards prevention and reduction. This presentation addresses characteristics of large-scale landslides and debris flows along Karakoram Highway (KKH) as well as north Pakistan and Sichuan-Tibet Railway (STR), China. Furthermore, the basic distribution and activities of mountain hazards are introduced, and prospective hazards and risk of mountain hazards along KKH and STR are analyzed. At last, similarities of mountain hazards characteristics between the eastern and western Himalayan syntaxes are preliminary discussed.
